EnergyVille 2023 Symposium on Microgrids

The 17th annual Symposium on Microgrids was held in Genk, Belgium on 18-19 September 2023 at the EnergyVille, Thor Park 8310 3600 Genk. The format of the EnergyVille Symposium was similar to prior years. Attendance was by invitation only, and attendees were cutting edge researchers, research managers, and policymakers from around the globe.
Our goal for the EnergyVille 2023 Symposium on Microgrids was to continue our exchange of results from microgrid research, demonstration, and deployment worldwide with an emphasis on recent results and areas of potential international cooperation. As before, each region invited eminent speakers to present their work, and there were additional short summaries of each region’s research program. In addition to these prepared presentations, group discussions were engaged.
The format of the EnergyVille 2023 Symposium on Microgrids was similar to prior ones. Attendance was by invitation only, and attendees, including speakers, were responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. The organizers took the responsibility to host the main symposium without any registration fee. The Symposium was held from Tuesday to Thursday, 19-21 September 2023. There were two full days of presentations on 19 & 20 September 2023 at the EnergyVille, Thor Park, Genk, Belgium, the official venue for the Symposium.
Symposium Format
  • By-invitation-only, (maximum attendance is capped) targeting leaders in the microgrid field from around the globe
  • Two full days of technical presentations, panel sessions and discussions (19-20 September 2023)
  • Concurrent poster session and networking events
  • Technical tours to key microgrid demonstration sites.
